St Albans pub opens after major refurbishment

Local St Albans pub, The Crown, has reopened after undergoing a £300,000 transformation. The pub welcomed customers back last Friday, just 4 weeks after refurbishment works began.

The pub now boasts a whole new look with additional booths fitted, an extended and improved beer garden, new toilets, new carpets, flooring and furniture throughout. The Crown has also launched a new food menu and offers a wide range of real ales, craft beers, premium spirits and wines.

The pub celebrated it’s refurbishment with a preview party last week to which local residents and businesses were invited. Paul Wigham, CEO of All Our Bars, said: “We want to say thank you to everyone who joined us for our preview party, we had a great evening. We are thrilled to have had the opportunity to redevelop The Crown, the pub looks beautiful, and we hope it will appeal to locals and visitors alike.”

Speaking about the refurbishment, pub manager Barbara Salsi said: “We are so pleased with how everything has worked out, the support we have received from customers has been brilliant.”

The Crown will be holding a second party night on the 10th of September with live music from the Acoustic Measures and samples of their new menu. For more information and to register for the event please visit www.crownstalbans.com.

The Crown is located at 144 – 146 Hatfield Road, St Albans, Herts, AL1 4JA. Telephone: 01727 853347.
