All Our Bars Acquire New Pub in Shoeburyness
Pub Group All Our Bars have acquired a new venue in Shoeburyness, Essex. The Garrison Arms in Campfield Road will be benefit from a £¼m refurbishment starting later this month under which the pub will be re-branded as The Old Garrison.
The pub is located next to the former Shoeburyness Barracks which is now subject to residential development. This historic site was home to the Royal Artillery and boasted famous alumni such as General Gordon of Khartoum and Florence Nightingale at the garrison hospital.
Paul Wigham, CEO of All Our Bars, said “we are very excited at the prospect of developing a quality suburban local at a versatile site in a busy and vibrant area. Our offer will see the introduction of a large range of real ales, speciality premium spirits, and a value for money menu with regular offers. We will provide multi-screen viewing for a number of sports channels in the bar area whilst encouraging families to use the comfortable surroundings and extensive gardens.”
“Our aim in all of our sites is to provide a quality experience whilst retaining the local community feel. We are excited to be working on another project with Punch Taverns who are proving to be the UK’s most positive and progressive pub company.”
Darren King of Punch Taverns said “we look forward to re-creating another quality local in a vibrant area of Essex and our commitment to developing our business is reaping rewards. This venue has historically been starved of investment and we are looking forwards to addressing this to create a fine venue that local residents will be proud to visit.”
